Start the Project
Q: What should I do if my requirement is only a general idea? A: We are happy for you to contact us and tell your needs and expectations. We will consider the requirement and clarify it as much as possible at this stage and make a proposal about how the project can be delivered. Once we have your agreement we will proceed to put a detailed specification in place and then agree a contract for it delivery.
Q: What should I do if I have a fully documented specification? A: Send it over to us and we will evaluate and analyze the project based on the detailed requirement, then a proposal will be created and with your approval with it, we will submit the resumes of proper resources with required skills and experience for your validation. Subsequently a team with required personnel is identified as well as the hardware/software environment is set up. After all these done, the project kicks off.
Q: What should I do if I only need dedicated resources? A: BESTSOFT Consulting will set up an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) which will act as a virtual extension of your own development team to provide development, ongoing support & enhancement, testing services. Q: How do you establish a team for my project? A: Once we have reached an agreement, we will start the project within 5 - 10 working days depending on the size of the project.
Payment Terms
Q: What is the pricing/payment policy? A: The pricing plan is agreed as part of the contractual agreement. It will depend on the size of the contract and the engagement model adopted. If it is a dedicated team working on a long term basis generally payment is made on a monthly basis with 30 days lead time from the date of invoice. Where it is a fixed price project a pricing plan with intermittent payments is agreed.
Development Process
Q: How do I know the progress of the project in real time? A: With the professional online project management systems we use, project progress is completely open and visible to all stake holders in the project. We also ensure we have regular project management meetings with updates on the project. In addition with our Agile approach there are regular iteration reviews which ensure the full team are involved in all aspecst of the project as it progresses.
Q: How can we have an effective communication? A: Various communication channels have been developed for you and BESTSOFT Consulting to reach each other conveniently at every stage of a project. It includes face-to-face communication, conference calls, instant messengers or emails, IP phones and WebEx meetings.
Warranty Period & Termination
Q: What can I do if any problems found after the project delivery? A: A minimum period of 30 days warranty after the software was delivered will be stipulated in the contract. Any bug(s) in the code will be corrected free of charge within the warranty period.
Q: What are the cancellation terms in case our relationship doesn't work out? A: We are conscious of the possibility for whatever reason a project may not proceed to its final conclusion with us. Where this situation arises we are happy to assist with its handover to the customer at the point in time of its termination provided agreement is reached on a fair and equitable settlement for work already completed.
